Final view of Titanic on No.3 slip just prior to her launch, timed for 12.15pm on 31 May 1911
The protective coffer dam has been removed and the high tide is flooding the lower part of her slipway ready to receive Titanic. She will be launched without her propellers, which will be fitted later in the dry dock. Note that Titanic has not been specially painted light grey to aid publicity photography unlike her sistership Olympic, launched the previous year.
